Wouldn't it be amazing if you could access expert help with your mental health and your emotional wellbeing.... without having to wait until you can afford to pay for private therapy?
I am a huge fan of therapy - I have done lots of it myself as a client, and I am a therapist working each week with therapy clients, and I fully see, feel and understand the great benefits of doing therapy. As a 1-2-1 thing however, it's always going to be fairly expensive. And it isn't always possible to access it via the NHS or similar.
Can you work on your mental health by yourself, DIY-ing a recovery process? To an extent, absolutely. You can journal, learn to meditate, do creative stuff, get outside, exercise, learn about your own needs and preferences and start meeting them and keeping them in mind, you can work with your dreams, work towards your dreams... all of this will help. It can take a long time to figure it all out by yourself though. It can also be easy to lose motivation and get a bit stuck, without anyone to guide you, anyone there to ask questions about things. And when it comes to the more challenging elements like releasing trauma or stored negative emotion from the past, and changing very fixed and set thought patterns or beliefs, it can be very hard to change things very significantly, at a deep level, on your own. Certainly, it is faster and easier to to this kind of inner work with excellent, expert-level help.
A weekly Wednesday night online group session, 7pm-8.30pm UK time (apart from, as with therapy clients, weeks where Orla is poorly or on holiday). These sessions involve a guided process for profoundly changing the way your mind is working on a daily basis, plus instruction in deep hypnosis.
Recordings of each session sent out to you within 48 hours of the session taking place.
Space for asking and answering questions on each call, plus being able to submit questions ahead of the call.
After 3 month's membership, access to a full and varied library of hypnosis tracks.
After 6 month's membership, access to a group of courses and trainings designed to further and deepen your inner work.
Get real-time warm, compassionate and expert-level assistance with your mental health and emotional wellbeing for less than the monthly cost of Netflix.
(and no shade to Netflix btw - I love watching plenty of tv shows, and it's totally worth it in my opinion - just ya know, so is your mental health!)

Step 1: Pay your £10 and get immediate access to all the calls and resources. Come along to your first call and learn some awesome techniques and approaches.

Anything and everything else

(after 3 months)
A key element of the 'homework' part of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, and also of this group process which is inspired by the principles of SFH, is to be listening to an audio hypnosis track each day, either while falling asleep or while doing some kind of simple, non-dangerous activity. Different people however are of course suited to different kinds of tracks, so I'm making a really wide selection available to you, beyond the few that are anyway available with my free hypnosis guide, once you've been a part of this process for 3 months.

(after 6 months)
Once you've been a part of Reclaim Your Mind for 6 months, you will unlock access to a selection of my courses, each one designed to further support your mental health and emotional wellbeing. You can then work through these courses at your own pace, alongside the Reclaim Your Mind sessions, to further and deepen your learning and change processes.

(right from the start)
For anyone in any of my courses, I have a monthly voxer day (it's the last Friday in each month) where people can contact me with questions via the voxer app (which allows for text messaging and voice messaging). I'm opening up this same availability to all current members of Reclaim Your Mind. Questions and answers will be kept private.
I would love to make this a permanent part of what I offer, and with your help, I can create a large enough group for this to ensure I can do just that!

"I’m focused so much more now on what I have than what I don’t have, and I’m more aware of my capacity to change what I want to change. In terms of my plans and the future, I feel that I have more options and that I’m more aware of my potential. I’m also more aware that I can be ok with whatever choices I make. I used to look back at the past and just think about all of the wasted opportunities. Now if that starts to happen, I shift my attention to the opportunities that are in front of me. I feel like this therapy process has really helped me learn how to shift my thinking in this way – to notice I’m doing it, the negative thinking, and then to stop and shift in a different direction. It’s also taught me however, to be ok with the fact that negative thinking is going to happen sometimes! My friends have noticed a difference in me too, and said that I seem much more confident. A lot of people have also said that I’m much more positive than I used to be. I’m more active than I was before, I’m much better at dealing with difficult situations and conversations, and I’m doing things that I wouldn’t have managed to get myself to do before..."
"...In the therapy process I was able to let go of a lot of the stuff I felt guilty about, so, so bad about really, and also able to let go of a lot of the anger and shame I was holding onto around what other people had done in the past, how different people had acted towards me and how that had felt at the time.
I’ve also learnt processes for actually actively connecting with self love and self respect in a deliberate way, and really committed to and engaged with those processes and practices in a way that’s been entirely transformative.
I genuinely like myself now, and I don’t think that had been true for a very long time. And I feel full of energy and enthusiasm about loads of different things at once! And everything in terms of food and how I feel about how I look is different for me – I still want to lose weight and do more exercise and so on, and I’ve started the process of that, but I’m not anything like so preoccupied with this any more – that can happen at it’s own pace. And I’m not confusing that stuff any more with my sense of self worth. I’m actually able to honour myself now, and move more and more towards what I actually want to be doing with my life – with using my skills and abilities fully and for ends that I believe in.
My relationship with my partner has significantly improved, and so has my relationship with my kids, as well as how I feel about them when they’re there and when they’re not there as well. I’m so much more relaxed about them and about my relationship with them, and that helps a lot.
I feel well and energised and happy now for most of the time, and I know that if I felt low or down again in the future, I’d be able to investigate that, and do what needed doing, and move toward shifting myself in a different direction....
.....I’m not saying that I don’t get the anxiety coming up now and then, or that I don’t feel low now and then. But it’s like — I’ve got the manual, I know what to do.
The process is very practical. It’s not magic! It’s week by week, it’s training your brain to think in a different way, and then practising it (and getting it wrong sometimes!). I’m leaving the process with a whole toolbox of strategies that I’m confident I can go back and revisit..."
"When I first started therapy, I was struggling with frequent panic attacks, Anxiety and the destructive and upsetting thought processes of OCD – I’d had struggles with anxiety almost my whole life pretty much, definitely since I was a small child, as a result of difficult experiences in my childhood and onwards from there, but only recently recognised that this was what I was experiencing, and spoken to doctors and had names for the difficult things I was dealing with.
The main thing the therapy has really helped me with is being able to manage my thoughts and thought processes differently. I particularly love the techniques we worked with where you imagine your early mind as an animal – mine is a lion! – and your intellectual mind or cortex as a beautiful place – I went with Venice for this, because of a particularly significant and wonderful holiday we had there. I really loved developing and working with this process creatively, and kept on adding different layers and levels to it, using it in different ways, and spending a great amount of time very enjoyably engaged with these imaginings, in a way that felt and still feels really good. It’s something I use a lot, and it’s really helped me to feel better about my mind and my thoughts, and to respond to them in a really different way – a way that feels warm, gentle, and sometimes even playful!
It’s not that I never have a difficult negative thought now – it’s more that I respond and react to this really differently, challenging it and shifting myself in a different direction, using one of the processes from the therapy work, like the thing with the lion and Venice, or the thing where you surround people in golden light, or sometimes just things I come up with on my own.
And I’m so much calmer and happier than I was – most of my time is like that now. The panic attacks stopped quite early on, and then it was a longer, slower journey to get to where I am now emotionally, but I’m so glad I did it, that I kept going. It was so worth all the work and the effort of it, to feel this way now. I’m hugely more able to stand up for myself with other people too, and to be strong and powerful in my decision making.
Recently I applied for and got a different job, that suits me much better, and this is not something I would have managed to do before, particularly in terms of just making the decision to do it. I even felt able to negotiate with them on salary, again not something I would have done before. I feel much more confident and able to talk to and make connections with new people generally too, which has been really great. And I also just feel this lovely new sense of wholeness and peace that is a totally different way of experiencing things...."

Hey, I'm Orla!
I help people to move themselves away from severe anxiety and/or OCD, depression or CPTSD so that they are better able to create the life they want to create for themselves and those around them. I practice using a combination of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, NLP and Time Line Therapy.
I live in Radstock, near Bath, in the UK, and I see therapy clients in person in Bristol and Bath, and also here in Radstock, plus via the magic of zoom, in different places in the UK, and in different countries around the world. I love creating trainings based on the work I do with clients in therapy and the professional study I have undertaken. It is a privilege to be able to share highly useful techniques, processes and approaches in this way.
It has long been a dream of mine to create something like Reclaim Your Mind. I feel so much for people who want or need therapy and cannot access it via the NHS and/or cannot pay for private therapy. I have been wanting to create something that would work as a highly effective 'next best option' for people in this situation - something that would teach the skills I teach, and take people through a version of the processes I use in therapy work, in a group online setting.
- What if this doesn't work for me?I have worked with a very wide variety of individuals over an 8 year period of practicing therapy, and I have found that the principles of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, which are also the principles on which this group online structure is based, have worked well for the vast majority of those people. The great thing is though, that your risk here is very small. If you really don't get on with it, all you've lost is your initial £10, and you can cancel whenever you'd like to. I would probably recommend sticking with it for at least a few months though, as it can take a bit of repetition and gradual learning and practicing to really start seeing and feeling results. It's totally up to you though.
- Will I have to share details of traumatic experiences with the group? Will I need to be listening to other people talk about traumatic experiences? Will I need to talk to the group about what I'm experiencing currently with my mental health? No, not at all. People participating will be asked not to share traumatic experiences with the group. This is because not everyone who is attending or working though the recordings may be in a place where they are ready for this or able for this. Mainly the group process will involve writing down or drawing out your responses to questions being asked by me, Orla Kirby, as I lead you through a process. There will be space for questions, and at the same time I will be asking people to not talk about traumatic experiences or private information in their questions. If you have a question that needs to involve sharing private or traumatic stuff, there will be space for that on the monthly voxer day, where no-one else will see or hear your question, if you want to ask that kind of question there. Similarly, when it comes to current mental health experiences, there is not pressure to share anything with the group. You can ask questions relating to your mental health, absolutely, so long as you are not describing anything very distressing or traumatic. None of the above will prevent the process from working, as the way that Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, on which this group process is based, are quite different from the way that counselling or psychotherapy work.
- How can this actually help me? How does it work?I'll be making a lot of videos to go into this in detail - if you'd like those, send me an email at orla@orlakirby.com and I'll send you out some links. Briefly though, we will begin each session with a process that gets the neural network connected with interests / passions / care etc more active and stronger, then move into work around understanding the brain, and then do deep creative and inventive work around emotion and around creative imaginings of the future and engaging with possibility. All of this helps you to be active in your own mind in a way that is deeply beneficial, especially if you continue this kind of practice as part of your everyday life (and yes there will be guidance on how to do this!). Then at the end of each session there will be work of different kinds on hypnosis, with detailed and high level guidance on how to enter into deep level hypnotic states, and how to do this in different ways. Hypnosis is a deeply relaxed and deeply focused state, and going into this state more frequently and/or more deeply is incredibly beneficial for mental health and emotional wellbeing. When the work on using your mind differently and the work on hypnosis are combined, and where both are practiced in between sessions, the results can include lowered stress levels, improved sleep, greater fluency in living with and navigating strong emotions, gradual release of trauma, and significantly improved mental health.
- Can I get a refund? How easy is it to cancel?I do not offer refunds for Reclaim Your Mind. The admin involved in doing this would simply make the project as a whole not viable for me to carry out. However, it is super easy to cancel whenever you'd like via your learning area. If you join in September, you are paying for access until the end of October. If you also pay again in October, you get access til the end of November..... And so on. You can stay for three months, six months, a year, two years - whatever suits you and your own particular life and situation.
- I'm already doing therapy. Does it make sense to do this at the same time? This is really a very individual decision. Some people find that doing for example a counselling or psychotherapy process and a hypnotherapy process at the same time can feel like it's pulling them in two different directions, and this can feel stressful, or simply too demanding in terms of time or money or energy. Some people get on great doing two therapy processes at once, particularly if they want to make a lot of change happen quite fast, and are able to allow time / money / space / energy for that. Reclaim Your Mind would not take as much money as a 1-2-1 hypnotherapy process, but it would still take time and energy to involve yourself in properly. However, if you would like to add Reclaim Your Mind to therapy work you are already doing, and feel that this is right for you, or that you'd like to try this out and see how that goes for you, then you are very welcome to do this.
- Why is this only £10 a month?Because I want to make this as accessible as possible to as wide a range of people as possible. I ran a similar thing in 2020 - a group online process based in the principles and ideas of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy - and it worked really well. At the time i was charging £10 per session, so similar to what a yoga class might be... This was tricky to run practically though in terms of people needing to book in each time etc.... And £30 or £40 a month still means it would be not all that affordable as compared to £10 a month. With £10 a month, even if you can only make one session a month, you are still getting excellent value for money. I would recommend though if you can making it to 3± sessions a month if you can, in order to get the most out of this process, whether you're turning up live or working through each recording.
- Are you going to put the price up?Certainly not for a really long time! If I end up running this for absolutely years and years, I may put the price up at some point. I can guarantee though that the price won't increase for the next three years, and it will stay at £10 a month. (The process itself may potentially not run for three years! - but I am guaranteeing at this point that it will continue for at least a year. There would also be plenty of notice if Reclaim Your Mind was going to stop at any point.)
- What if I can't make the time of the sessions, Wednesday 7pm UK time, or I can't always make that time?Really, because the session is mainly designed around me teaching people skills, and also leading people through processes where you are answering questions by writing out or drawing out your responses, it doesn't matter too much whether you come along live or you work your way through the recordings. There is probably some form of benefit in therms of energy to being present at the actual time, and it's true that in this situation you would be able to ask questions, but it is also going to be possible to submit questions ahead of time even if you can't make the time of the session.
- Wouldn't it be better to wait until I can actually just do proper 1-2-1 therapy? Isn't that what I really need?Let me be absolutely clear that I am not suggesting that Reclaim Your Mind is a substitute for 1-2-1 therapy. If you can afford 1-2-1 therapy privately, or you can access it through work or through the NHS, then this is what I would recommend you do. However, if you are waiting anyway, my feeling is that you'd be better off doing something that would help you to move forward in your mental health journey while you are on that NHS waiting list, or while you are saving up to do private therapy. There is always the option to stop Reclaim Your Mind once you do begin therapy work in the future, or you could continue with this process and therapy, if that is what you feel would be most helpful to you.
First of all, what do I mean by 'fully engage with'....? - Well, I mean turning up to the sessions (whether live or working through the recorded ones sent out to you) I mean doing the 'in-between-sessions' work, which includes a particular journaling practice, 10 mins wakeful hypnosis practice each day, and 20 mins more relaxed hypnosis practice (a hypnosis track as you go to sleep or in the day as you do something low-key...). And I also mean asking me questions when you come up against challenges or resistance or things that you don't understand or are finding difficult.
Oh, and I mean staying for long enough for it to work for you, and using the courses too once they become available to you after the 6 month mark.
You do all of that, and this process can bring you, over the long term, pretty wonderful results....
Dealing currently with Anxiety or Depression or CPTSD or OCD? I would expect to see that situation significantly improve for you across 6 months to a year of engaging with this process fully. You can continue with the process for as long as you wish to, and it may be that further improvements again are possible with 18 months to two years.
Dealing currently with insomnia or frequent night waking or difficulty falling asleep? Again, I would expect to see that situation significantly improve for you across 6 months to a year of engaging with this process fully.
Struggling to concentrate or focus because you feel foggy or because worries or dark thoughts are getting in your way? I would expect this to begin easing fro you from 3 months into the process, if you engage fully, and then to go on becoming easier and easier as you move forward with it.
Feel like it's impossible or immensely challenging to move towards creating the life you want to create because of all this mental health stuff getting in the way? I'd expect you to see a change with that fairly early on, within 4-6 months of really fully engaging with this process.
Enter your bullet points here..

I fully intend to grow this group to be a large group, so that financially it is possible for me to continue to be able to deliver it year after year.
At the same time, now, right at the beginning, while it is still relatively small - there's an advantage to you in joining at this stage. And this is that right now, you'll get more time / space for questions etc than later on, when the group will most probably be larger.
There will definitely always be time and space for questions, no matter how large the group gets. Right now though, the value for money is pretty astonishing!
